Editor seats

Share your plan with up to 10 editors. How to invite them, what they get, how they accept, and how to remove an editor or leave a plan.

Editor seats let a streamer or channel owner share one plan with the people who cut their VoDs. Up to 10 editors can use your plan, and they all draw on the same quotas.

Who can invite

Anyone who has a plan can invite editors, whether it is paid, a trial or a free pass. The one exception is an editor on someone else's plan: plans cannot be shared again. The Editors entry in Settings only appears when you can invite.

Invite an editor

  1. Open Settings and select Editors. The header shows how many seats are used, such as 3 / 10 seats used.
  2. Type the editor's email in the field that reads [email protected].
  3. Select Invite. The app confirms with Invite sent and emails them a link.

Use the email on the editor's Twitch account. Editors sign in with Twitch, and they accept the invite while signed in with that account. You cannot invite your own email, and each email can have one invite at a time.

Pending invites count as seats. When all 10 are taken, the field is disabled and the page says Seat limit reached.

The Editor settings page, in the same Settings sidebar as Editors, with the clip defaults and the save bar.

What the editor does

The editor opens the link and sees invited you to edit, with the invite's email. They select Accept, or Decline. Accepting works only when:

  • They are signed in with the Twitch account that uses the invited email. Otherwise the page says to sign in with the account whose email matches.
  • They do not already have a plan of their own. Otherwise the page says You already have a plan, so you cannot join a shared plan.
  • A seat is free.

After accepting, the editor lands in their library and works on your plan. A link that was used or declined shows Invite not found.

One set of quotas

Editors and the owner use one pool: storage, ingest, bandwidth and render compute are counted together. An editor's Usage page says This usage is shared with your plan owner's account. See Plans, quotas and billing for what the four quotas are.

An editor's own clips and VoDs stay on their own account.

Remove an editor

Each row in the list shows the editor's name or email and a status badge, pending or active, with a Remove button. The dialog Remove editor? says the editor will lose access to your plan and that their content stays on their own account. Removing a pending invite frees its seat.

Leave a plan

An editor can leave at any time. On their Plan page, which reads You are editing on followed by the owner's name, they select Leave plan. The dialog says they lose editor access until they have a plan of their own, and that their content stays on their account.

When the owner's plan ends

Editors have access only while the owner's plan is active. If the owner's subscription stops being active, the plan is removed from every editor too. If the owner deletes their account, all of their editors are detached. See Settings and account deletion.
