Terms of Service

Plain-English rules for using Voding. By signing in you agree to all of this.

Last updated: 14 May 2026

1. Who you're agreeing with

"Voding", "we", and "us" refer to the operator of the website at vod.ing. "You" means the human or entity using the service. Contact: info@vod.ing.

2. What Voding is

Voding is a browser-based editing tool for Twitch VoDs. You paste or select a public Twitch VoD, Voding ingests it to our storage, you trim and export clips and chat overlays from a web editor.

3. Your account

You sign in with your Twitch account. You are responsible for keeping that Twitch account secure. You must be at least 13 years old (or the higher minimum in your jurisdiction). One natural person per account; do not share credentials.

4. Acceptable use

You agree NOT to use Voding to:

  • Download, edit, or redistribute VoDs you do not have the right to use under Twitch's terms or the copyright law of your jurisdiction.
  • Process content that is illegal, infringing, or violates someone's privacy.
  • Attempt to bypass storage or bandwidth limits, automate signup, or reverse-engineer the service.
  • Use the service to harass anyone, including the streamers whose VoDs you process.
  • Resell access to Voding without our written agreement.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. For severe abuse we may act without prior notice.

5. Content and intellectual property

Twitch VoDs and chat logs belong to the streamers and chatters who created them, and Twitch's terms govern their use. Voding makes no claim to that content. When you create clips, chat overlays, or FCPXML exports, those derived works are yours to use subject to the rights you have in the source. The Voding software, brand, and site design are ours (or licensed to us).

6. Payment, cancellation, refunds

Paid plans are billed monthly via Stripe. You can cancel at any time from your account; cancellation stops the next renewal but does not refund the current month. Your data is held for a 30-day grace window after cancellation and is permanently deleted after that unless you reactivate. Refunds outside this policy are at our discretion — reasonable cases (immediate cancellation after charge, service outage) usually qualify.

7. Service availability

We aim for high availability but do not promise zero downtime. Twitch VoDs themselves expire after 14–60 days depending on the streamer's subscription tier; once a VoD is gone from Twitch, Voding cannot re-fetch it. Render times depend on queue length and the length of the source.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

Voding is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid Voding in the 12 months preceding the claim, or €100, whichever is greater. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (e.g. intentional misconduct, gross negligence, or personal injury).

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes are emailed to active subscribers at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date is acceptance.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the European Union and the member state in which the data controller is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes go to the competent courts of that jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in the EU, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence.
