Why a desktop app

The desktop app is the same browser editor wrapped in a native shell, not a separate product — cutting clips, reading the chat graph, and rendering overlays all work the same way. What changes is how it touches your machine: exports go straight to a folder on disk instead of through a browser download prompt, and saving uses a real, native Save dialog instead of a browser one. Each platform gets its native install format too: a .dmg for macOS, an .msi or .exe installer for Windows, and an AppImage, .deb, or .rpm for Linux. Installing takes no account at all; you only sign in with Twitch once you're inside the app and ready to edit. If none of that matters to you, the browser editor at vod.ing does the same job with nothing to install.

What's new

The current build is vod.ing v0.0.4, packaged for macOS, Windows, and Linux.

It was released Jun 12, 2026.
